As a teaching hospital, it is imperative to provide opportunities for fellowships and support to the trained physicians, nurses, and medical researchers of the El Paso Children's Hospital. In collaboration with UMC and the Texas Tech Health Sciences Center El Paso/Paul L. Foster School of Medicine, fellowship programs are available.

The El Paso Children's Hospital Foundation supports and encourages professional medical conferences that disseminate accurate and current information about innovations and cutting-edge technologies in medical care and inspire collegial learning among medical professionals. Symposium on Endoscopic Surgery for Treatment of Craniosynostosis

El Paso Children’s Hospital, in collaboration with the El Paso Children’s Hospital Foundation, hosted the region’s first-ever Endoscopic Surgery for Treatment of Craniosynostosis Symposium. The event brought together over two dozen international physicians and surgeons to learn and share expertise in cutting-edge surgical techniques for craniosynostosis.

The symposium was led by Dr. David Jimenez, Medical Director of Neurosurgery at El Paso Children’s Hospital, and featured a comprehensive program including live surgeries, didactic lectures, and case presentations. The event focused on reviewing and demonstrating all major endoscopic techniques and procedures, providing a robust educational opportunity for participants.

Pediatric Diabetes Conference

The Pediatric Diabetes Conference, sponsored in memory of Florence Green Morgan, brought together over 85 school nurses from across the region. Participants gained essential knowledge on managing Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes, addressing mental health in pediatric patients, and driving change through our Empower Program. These educational opportunities, made possible by the generosity of our donors, are helping to shape healthier futures for children in our community.

Symposium of Cleft Lip and Palate Deformities: A Transformative Event

In partnership with El Paso Children’s Hospital Foundation, El Paso Children’s Hospital, and Flagship Specialty Partners, the Symposium of Cleft Lip and Palate Deformities brought together leading medical professionals, researchers, and advocates to advance the treatment of cleft conditions.

This event featured expert-led panels discussing cutting-edge surgical techniques, innovative speech therapy methods, and comprehensive care strategies for children and families. Emphasizing collaboration and equitable healthcare, the symposium highlighted the importance of addressing disparities in access to specialized care, particularly in underserved regions.

Through this initiative, El Paso Children’s Hospital Foundation and its partners are driving innovation, fostering hope, and shaping brighter futures for children affected by cleft lip and palate deformities.

Global Symposium on Endoscopic Craniosynostosis

Physicians from four continents gathered in El Paso for a transformative symposium on endoscopic craniosynostosis, co-hosted by El Paso Children’s Hospital and the El Paso Children’s Hospital Foundation. The event featured hands-on workshops, live surgical demonstrations, and insights from global leaders in the field.

The symposium honored the late Dr. David F. Jimenez, a pioneer whose innovative techniques revolutionized pediatric neurosurgery and left a lasting impact on the El Paso community. This collaborative event highlighted El Paso’s role as a hub for medical education and innovation.

Borderland Cerebral Palsy Symposium

The Borderland Cerebral Palsy Symposium, organized by the El Paso Children’s Hospital Foundation, is an annual event dedicated to advancing the knowledge and expertise of healthcare professionals.
