Celebrating Our Generous Donors

At the El Paso Children’s Hospital Foundation, our donors are the heart of everything we do. Your generosity directly impacts the lives of countless children and families in our community. Every dollar you contribute goes directly to supporting the hospital in critical ways—funding state-of-the-art equipment, life-changing programs, alleviating financial burdens for families, and much more.

Together with our donors, we work tirelessly to ensure that children in the El Paso region receive the highest quality healthcare right here at home, surrounded by their loved ones. Because of your support, these children can heal, grow, and thrive in the community they call home.

Kickpin Foundation

Donor Spotlight: The Frank Brothers and Kickpin Foundation

The El Paso Children’s Hospital celebrated an incredible milestone with a $100,000 donation from the Kickpin Foundation, founded by brothers Drew, Jamie, and Lane Frank. Known for starting their successful sneaker shop in 2017 as teenagers, the Frank brothers have not only built a thriving business but have also made it their mission to give back to the community that has supported them from the start.

This donation is deeply personal for Drew and Lane, who were both born with clubfoot. Their journey inspired them to make a meaningful impact by ensuring that other children with the same condition have access to the care they need. The $100,000 donation directly went toward supporting treatments for children with clubfoot, helping them overcome challenges and lead healthier, more active lives.

In addition to addressing orthopedic needs, the donation will create a long-term funding stream to support the hospital’s greatest needs. In recognition of their generosity and dedication, the hospital has named its largest operating room—home to all orthopedic procedures—after the Frank brothers and their well-known Kickpin Foundation.

The Frank brothers’ journey, from balancing school and business to focusing on charitable efforts, serves as an inspiring example of how local entrepreneurs can make a profound difference in their community.

Southwest University

Audi of El Paso

Donor Spotlight: Audi of El Paso

Thanks to the generosity of Audi of El Paso, young patients at El Paso Children’s Hospital are now riding to their surgeries in style. The dealership donated several luxury toy cars and SUVs, replacing traditional wheelchairs with fun-sized Audis that make the journey to the operating room a little less intimidating.

Designed for patients ages two and up who are scheduled for surgery, these toy cars bring smiles and joy to children during an otherwise stressful time. “As soon as we turn on the cars, that noise that comes up gets their attention, and they’re more than willing to try and drive it themselves,” said Nurse Alex Uranga. The playful experience has also helped ease separation anxiety for families, turning a moment of uncertainty into one of comfort and excitement.

By putting children in the driver’s seat—literally—Audi of El Paso has created an uplifting experience that allows young patients to feel empowered, calm, and happy as they prepare for their treatments. Hospital officials agree this thoughtful gesture makes a big difference in helping children navigate their healthcare journey with ease.

Polk Elementary

Donor Spotlight: Polk Elementary School Student Council

The Polk Elementary School Student Council brought joy and comfort to young patients at El Paso Children’s Hospital by donating over 100 stuffed animals. From classic teddy bears to beloved Disney characters, these toys were a source of comfort for children navigating challenging times.

As part of their annual Kindness Challenge, the students organized the stuffed toy drive, creating advertisements, posters, and engaging the community to make it a success. “We want to teach the students the importance of giving back,” shared counselor Nora Finley. “When they start young, they grow up with good values.”

For fifth-grader Emma Florez, the project was a meaningful lesson. “Sometimes people are going through hard times, and it’s important for someone to be there for them,” she said. Fellow student Elena Cueva added, “It feels good to help others and know you’re making a difference.”

Polk Elementary’s Student Council is already planning their next acts of kindness, including visiting the Ronald McDonald House to bake cookies and pizza for families in need. Their dedication to spreading kindness is an inspiring example of how even the youngest members of our community can create a lasting impact.
