Volunteer Corps

Volunteers are always needed. You can give of your talents and skills in various areas within the Foundation. The Foundation strives to provide all interested volunteers opportunities for meaningful service that fit a wide range of skill sets and time availability. The Volunteer Corps supports the Foundation's mission by assisting with donation drives, event preparation and event support for fundraisers, community outreach events, and various other activities. Volunteer Congress

Funds raised by the Foundation's Volunteer Corps will be awarded to departments within El Paso Children's Hospital at a biennial Volunteer Congress. El Paso Children's Hospital department leadership is invited to submit a grant application ranging between $5,000 and $10,000 to fund equipment, supplies, or resources that will improve the department's efficiency, and the quality of care provided to patients.

This event is a unique opportunity for Foundation volunteers to review grant applications and hear brief presentations from department leaders at El Paso Children’s Hospital. Following the presentations, volunteers ask questions, discuss, vote, and determine which applications will be will be awarded a grant, and the amount of the award.

Ways to Volunteer

 

Event Support

Event Setup & Breakdown: Assist with setting up tables, decorations, and activities, and help ensure a smooth breakdown after events.

Creative Design: Contribute your creativity to event decor, signage, and other artistic elements.

On-Site Support: Provide support during events, such as managing registration tables, handing out materials, assisting guests, and engaging with attendees.

 

Creative & Specialized Roles

Graphic Design & Marketing: Use your skills to design promotional materials, social media posts, and event flyers.

Photography & Videography: Capture moments during events or help create content to share our mission with the community.

Social Media & Content Creation: Help create engaging content for our social media platforms to spread awareness.

 

Community Engagement

Advocacy & Outreach: Be a community ambassador by sharing information about our programs, attending health fairs, or helping with awareness campaigns.

Volunteer Recruitment: Help grow our volunteer network by reaching out to others who want to make a difference.

 

Professional Services

Medical or Health Support: If you are a licensed professional, contribute to programs such as health screenings or wellness events.

Educational Workshops: Offer your expertise to provide classes or workshops for families, such as parenting classes, nutrition, or financial planning.
